Server Philosophy

Last Update: November 27, 2023

Hey, adventurer,

I'm glad that you are here! So what is Lucifron and which line does it follow? What I can remember from Classic back in 2005 and 2006 was the friendly and lovely community. Hence we don't just want to recreate Classic in a bare-bones manner, but more so aim for the overall "feel" from back then.

It's hard to say that Activision Blizzard does a bad job in achieving such, in my opinion, considering they just gave us a really good "back in the days" feel in 2019 and 2020, however, it was rather short lived. All patches came far too quickly, they released a lot of content way too soon and implemented the WoW Token and whatnot. That's not the Classic I envisioned, and it might not be the Classic you yourself desire as well.

If you're looking for a server with

  • a cash shop
  • GDPK / boost runs
  • custom content
  • 10.000+ population
  • PvP hardcore stuff this might be the wrong place for you.

We don't have a big developer team like other servers do, so all you see is what I set up by myself and wrote it as I needed it to be. I saw in the past that big servers had one key issue - too many cooks spoiling the broth. It's simple, when you can handle everything by yourself, the team cannot be destroyed via drama.

All in all, we don't want to be a big private server, we just want to play Classic and treat each other in a friendly and respectful manner.
Ask yourself: "Do I really want to play on a server with a population of 10k players where I can't even find any ore?"

Peace
